Album: Redding Airport
These are photos from the Redding Airport. I've always wanted to fly one of the little planes that services flights from Redding to SF. I was glad to see that the airplane did not have any parts duck taped on. It was a pretty standard flight. However, all SF bound flights out of Redding take place at either 5 AM or 7 AM which gave my mom and me the opportunity to see a Redding sunrise. It was beautiful. The sunsets are gorgeous too, but I haven't taken any good pictures of them.

Album: Whiskeytown Falls
Whiskeytown Falls is a recently "discovered" 200 ft. three tier cascade waterfall in Whiskeytown, about 20 min. drive from Redding. Of course, the waterfall had always been there, but only in the last two years did we know that it was there. Apparently it was lost because it had been mismarked on the map. Over the last year Redding installed a very user friendly hiking trail and three viewing platforms. My dad, sister, and I hiked up to the falls in about 1.5 hours with multiple breaks and down in 45 min. It's mostly uphill on the way up and relatively easy to climb. Many children were on the trail. Cost: $5 for parking permit.
