Our hotel was a block off of Boston Commons, the oldest public park in the US. We considered going on the swan boats, but it was over 100 degrees out.

The tallest building in Boston is super shiny. Out of respect for the earlier architects, I.M. Pei chose not to compete with the surrounding architecture, but rather to reflect it.

The duck tours drive you around town, then right into the Charles River. They have 50 vehicles covering an area of a few square miles, so the car-boats are pervasive downtown.

Downtown Boston is remarkably small, just a few square miles. I was able to walk across town in about 40 minutes.
